Improve Your Skin Condition with Pulsed Dye Laser Technology
The Vbeam Perfecta is a pulsed dye laser which delivers an intense but gentle burst of light into selectively targeted areas of the skin. This light is then absorbed by specific blood vessels or melanin pigmented areas in the dermis depending on the condition being treated. Because of the precision that can be obtained with this laser, the Vbeam Perfecta can be used to remove warts, freckles, and treat rosacea.
When the laser light is absorbed by the target, heat is produced and causes a selective heating of the chromophore (color). The Vbeam Laser produces an intense but gentle burst of light that selectively destroys the blood vessels of your unwanted red and mottled brown areas, without damaging the surrounding tissue.
The Perfecta features advanced micro-pulse technology, multiple handpieces for treating various spot sizes, and our patented Dynamic Cooling Device™ cooling system, which all but eliminates patient downtime by preventing purpura, or bruising.
• All areas of the face and body can be treated.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How many treatments will I need?
A. The results of laser therapy vary depending on the condition that is being treated and the number of treatments required for clearance. Spider veins on the face and age spots generally do well with one or two treatments, while thicker red birthmarks often require multiple treatments. Rosacea redness, facial rejuvenation, and laser toning
are usually done as a series of four treatments at monthly intervals. You will continue to see a lightening of the area after each treatment as your body disposes of the abnormal cells.
Q. Does Vbeam treatment hurt?
A. No anesthetics are required, but they may be used. Most patients experience a warming or tingling sensation during treatment. The skin being treated is additionally protected by Candela’s Dynamic Cooling Device, which delivers a cooling mist on to the skin before the laser pulse is emitted. This cooling mist increases comfort during treatment, as well as protects the skin to maximize side effects like redness.
Q. What should I expect after Vbeam treatment?
A. Most patients notice beneficial results right away, and often times feel a firming or tightening of the treated area. Also, broken vessels and rosecea will be diminished in times.
Q. What side effects can I expect after treatment?
A. Patients may experience some temporary discoloration or reddening of the skin around the treatment site. Pigmentary changes in skin color may be experienced by some patients. The skin will typically return to normal pigmentation over time.
Q. What precautions should I take after treatment?
A. Wear sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher, avoid direct sun exposure for at least several days after your last treatment, and wear a wide-brimmed hat when you’re in the sun.
Q. How much Vbeam treatment cost?
A. Depending on your condition and the areas to be treated, the cost ranges from $200 to $500 per treatment.
Q. Who performs the Treatments?
A. Only Dr. Jane performs all laser treatments in this clinic.
